The QuadPuck is an electronic control device that receives signals which are then used to control the intensities of LEDs, or LED arrays, through connected LED drivers. When the QuadPuck is assigned to a DMX channel or address (for more on DMX, see DMX Control), and a DMX signal is present, the QuadPuck processes the incoming signal and determines if any changes need to be made to the corresponding LEDs output channels. When it is determined that a change is requested, the QuadPuck varies the control signal to the corresponding on-board LED driver, which varies the power being delivered to the LED(s), thus increasing or decreasing the intensity of the LEDs.

Originally designed for the film and theatrical industry, the QuadPuck can be used for many types of LED applications, including special effects, set and stage lighting, color washes, portable / landscape lighting, automotive and marine lighting and effects, and much more. Features include simple on-board channel programming with test functions and demo modes, LED channel activity and power/error indicators, power and DMX in and loop-thru connections, selectable DMX termination, and on-board programmable PIC. Factory installed options include RJ45 jacks for DMX / power in and loop-thru connections, optional screw-terminals for easy power inputs and LED outputs, and pin socket driver-connections allowing for fast removal and installation of the LED drivers.
