LED Drivers

LuxDrive LED Driver mounted to the 4016 QuadPuck.
LED drivers are electronic devices designed specifically to power LEDs. Unlike most common incandescent lights, LEDs have very specific power requirements. Conventional power supplies often are not suitable for LED applications. Drivers are necessary to ensure proper power is delivered to the many types of LEDs and LED arrays.

The QuadPuck can hold up to four (4) LuxDrive LED drivers, one for each output channel. Drivers can be hard-mounted (soldered) or optional socket-mounts can be used for fast change-outs. A driver must be installed for each LED channel to be used. Several different driver models are available for a variety of applications.

See Configuring Arrays for information on selecting the appropriate LuxDrive LED driver.
