Connecting LEDs
There are four output channels on the QuadPuck for providing power to LEDs or LED arrays. Wire leads (18-24AWG) can be soldered into the thru-hole outputs (CH0-CH3) or optional factory-installed screw-terminal blocks can be used (see figure 1). Each of the four output channels uses a positive (+) and a negative (-) connection for the LEDs. Be sure connections are correct or the LEDs will not light and damage may result.

QuadPuck LED output connections.

Some multi-LED and RGB-LED arrays use a four-wire connection. For these applications, three wires are used for control and the fourth is common to all channels. Only LED arrays that use a common ground (-) can be used with the QuadPuck. To connect an array using a common ground, anchor each control wire to the desired output channel positive (+) connection and the common wire to any of the channel negative (-) connections (see figure 2).

NOTE: Be sure the appropriate driver is connected to the corresponding LED output channel or damage to the LED(s) may result.
